SEND and Writing

Removing barriers without lowering expectations.

Current guidance is clear: inclusion is not about lowering expectations. It is about helping every child access ambitious learning.

This webinar explores the barriers many pupils experience when writing and how schools can respond through adaptive teaching, scaffolding and clear instructional approaches that maintain challenge whilst improving access.

We’ll be chatting about:

  • Common barriers SEND pupils face when writing
  • Working memory, processing difficulties and cognitive load
  • Adaptive teaching approaches that support success
  • Practical strategies that build confidence and independence

This webinar is 45 minutes long – 30 minutes with 15 minutes of Q&A at the end. Come along and get involved!
