SUMMARY:FREE webinar! The Impact of Stress and Uncertainty: How to support ourselves\, children and young people
DESCRIPTION:Join our Jigsaw webinar ‘The Impact of Stress and Uncertainty: How to support ourselves\, children and young people’\, led by Alex Phoenix\, Training Consultant at KCA Training \nIn this short session we look at what science and research tells us about stress and uncertainty and how it affects all of us\, how there are differences in levels of stress and how our own past experiences affect how we feel stress. \nUncertainty causes stress\, this is because the human brain is wired to crave predictability and certainty for survival\, uncertainty and ambiguity is therefore felt as a threat to safety.  How our brains and nervous systems respond to that stress is an individual process\, but it affects the ways in which we interact with others and the world around us. \nThroughout this session we will look at practical examples of what we can do to support ourselves through times of uncertainty and stress\, ways in which we can help our brains and nervous systems to cope. We will also look at what we can do to support the children and young people that we work with\, practical examples that help us to help them to cope during uncertainty and stressful times. \nThe aims of this session are: \n\nThe science of the impact of stress\nThe science and understanding of uncertainty and its impact\nHow these both affect how we interact with each other and the world around us\nSome examples of what we can do to support ourselves during these times\nSome examples of how we can support children and young people during these times \n\nThis session will include a 10 minute Q&A section for participants \n \nFor more information on Jigsaw Education here \n  \nDisclaimer \nThis training is organised by an external organisation and Louise Dawson Professional Development and Management Training cannot accept any liability or responsibility for the content or quality of the training. \nPayment is made directly with the external training partner and any conversation about delivery of the training\, payment\, refunds\, etc should be addressed directly to the external company. \nIf you have concerns about any content of the training then please let us know so we can raise them with the training provider on behalf of all delegates/attendees.

SUMMARY:FREE! CPD Webinar - SEND: Are you delivering inclusive\, flexible learning? with Gaia Learning and Bloom
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nStruggling with SEND provision? Learn how to improve engagement\, create flexible pathways\, and evidence outcomes beyond attainment. \nMany schools are asking the same question: \nAre we truly delivering inclusive\, flexible learning or just adapting around the edges? \nThe most effective schools don’t retrofit SEND support.\nThey design systems that anticipate and adapt to need. \nThis session explores what that looks like in practice. \nLed by Kate from Gaia Learning\, this CPD will share practical insight into how schools are: \n\nimproving engagement across complex SEND and SEMH cohorts\nbuilding flexible pathways that adapt as needs change\nresponding in real time — not waiting for formal review cycles\njoining up SEND\, pastoral and academic insight\nevidencing progress beyond attainment (engagement\, wellbeing\, independence)\nensuring provision moves learners forward\, not keeps them in holding patterns\n\nThese principles are drawn from real delivery across schools\, not just theory. \n  \nAbout The Speaker\nKate Heath is the Founder and Managing Director of Gaia Learning\, working with schools\, MATs and Local Authorities to support learners who struggle to access education. Her work focuses on designing inclusive\, flexible provision that improves engagement and long-term outcomes. \n \nRegistration link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/webinar-are-you-delivering-inclusive-flexible-learning-tickets-1987772219217 \n  \nDisclaimer \nThis training is organised by an external organisation and Louise Dawson Professional Development and Management Training cannot accept any liability or responsibility for the content or quality of the training. \nPayment is made directly with the external training partner and any conversation about delivery of the training\, payment\, refunds\, etc should be addressed directly to the external company. \nIf you have concerns about any content of the training then please let us know so we can raise them with the training provider on behalf of all delegates/attendees.
