Today, I would like to thank Hartland International School and in particular Fiona Cottam and Angela Blair.
Hartland and myself hosted a network meeting for school and wellbeing leaders across the Emirates. Joined by 40 professionals we learned a little about the Wellbeing Matters Framework (link below) and the guidelines that KHDA provide to schools in an effort to support students, staff and the community improve wellbeing.
As Angela said, “it is much deeper than doughnuts and token gestures” as she described some of the newer 2023 strategies that Hartland have started to implement. Building on the work they have been doing since they opened.
An opportunity to sit and learn from each other. We used some flipped learning to pose questions in advance, so that conversation was meaningful and fast paced. We know how busy you all are!
Q1 What have you implemented whole school to improve policy and practice?
Q2 How have you engaged with Governors and Senior Leaders?
Q3 What data are you collecting and analysing for students and staff?
Q4 How have you engaged with the community and external professionals?
Q5 What resources (lesson materials or furniture/environment etc) have you changed to improve wellbeing?
