UAE Positive Behaviour Interventions
The UAE Positive Behaviour Interventions course, titled “Relationships, Crises and Responses at your School,” is designed to provide staff with a wide range of practical skills.
Key areas of focus:
- UAE-specific Legal Issues (Tried and Trusted): Addressing the unique legal framework within the UAE to ensure all interventions are compliant and appropriate.
- Trauma Awareness: Understanding the impact of trauma on behaviour and how to respond with sensitivity and empathy.
- Behaviour Planning: Developing proactive strategies to anticipate and prevent challenging behaviour before it escalates.
- De-Escalation Skills: Learning verbal and non-verbal techniques to calm volatile situations and reduce tension.
- Staff Safety and Teamwork: Fostering a culture of safety and collaboration among staff to handle high-stress situations effectively.
- Positive Handling “Holding” Interventions: Providing appropriate, pragmatic physical skills for last-resort situations, ensuring safety and dignity for all involved.
