FREE Edurio Book Club: Learning As If Life Depended On It – 10 February 2026

Learning As If Life Depended on It
In an exclusive live discussion, Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the International Baccalaureate, joins Ernest Jenavs, co-founder at Edurio to discuss his newly published book, Learning As If Life Depended on It (November 2025).
This is a rare opportunity for international school leaders to engage directly with one of the sector’s most influential figures immediately following the release of this ground-breaking work.
International school leaders face a complex, rapidly changing landscape. From climate issues to technological shifts, traditional methods of control and scheduling are often no longer enough to prepare students for the future.
In this session, Olli-Pekka Heinonen draws on his extensive experience to explore how schools can adapt. He will discuss why we need to move beyond rigid systems to meet the needs of a modern world.
Edurio CEO Ernest Jenavs will join the discussion to connect these ideas to reality. Using global data, they will examine how trust and wellbeing, rather than control, drive sustainable success in schools.
This session is a strategic dialogue rather than a standard book review. Olli-Pekka will share practical insights from his new book, challenging us to rethink how we lead.
Together with Ernest Jenavs, he will discuss how you can navigate uncertainty in your schools. We will focus on replacing anxiety with systems built on genuine connection and collective learning. We invite you to ask your own questions and explore what actually works in practice.
