Michael Kodochian, the Founder and CEO of Abeye,
Lexilens® is a pioneering eyewear solution designed to support individuals with dyslexia or other reading-difficulty challenges.
Rather than correcting refractive error, Lexilens’ active lenses dynamically filter neuro-visual “noise” using patented technology, so that letters, words and lines become clearer and easier to process.
Lightweight, rechargeable, and calibrated via a mobile app, Lexilens can be used by children and adults – in any language – straight out of the box.
Lexilens® is is sold and distributed across the GCC by Medical Idea, who provide a free trial to find the correct adjustments for each individual.
Lexilens® was created to address a lesser-known challenge in dyslexia: neuro-visual crowding. Unlike ordinary glasses that correct blurry vision, Lexilens® works at the neural level, helping the brain distinguish mirror or overlapping internal images.
Lightweight, rechargeable, and app-calibrated, these glasses are designed for children and adults alike — regardless of the language you read — and deliver an immediate, intuitive improvement in reading clarity.
Experience smoother, more confident reading — risk-free.

Lexilens® is rooted in more than ten years of peer-reviewed research into neuro-visual processing. Scientists identified that many people with dyslexia experience “mirror” or overlapping internal representations in their visual cortex, causing reading fatigue or confusion. Lexilens’ active electro-chromic lenses dynamically modulate light to suppress these visual interferences, improving clarity and reducing cognitive load.
Using a dedicated smartphone app, users calibrate the glasses to their visual processing in about 10 minutes. These settings are saved to the device, so you don’t need your phone on a daily basis to benefit. Once calibrated, Lexilens works immediately – put them on, and start reading with no learning curve or special training.
Lexilens® comes in three sizes (S for children, M and L for teens/adults), handcrafted in France using bio-sourced, 3D-printed materials. The frame includes a rechargeable battery (USB-C), delivering up to ~25 hours of use on a full charge. A hard case, cleaning cloth, and prescription clip-on are included in the box for added practicality.
For screen-based reading, Abeye offers the Lexilens Screen — a Full HD monitor with the same patented neuro-visual filter built in. You simply switch on the effect via the On-Screen Display (OSD), and the screen helps your brain process text more easily. There’s no need to wear glasses, and no training is required.
Lexilens® has earned broad recognition: it was named a CES 2020 Innovation Award Honoree.
Abeye, the maker of Lexilens, backed by optical-retail expertise from Atol les Opticiens, continues to support a global user base with confidence and scientific validity. Find out more bout the science here:
