Lumii.me wasn’t created in a lab or boardroom. It began with a mum, Laura Tristram, trying to understand her son’s emotions and experiences at school. Some days he seemed fine, but at home there were moments of anger, withdrawal, or overwhelm. As a parent, Laura felt the weight of not always knowing what he was carrying, or how to help him share it.
Laura realised her family’s journey was not unique. Many children struggle to express how they truly fee -whether it’s anxiety, frustration, or even moments of happiness and pride. And schools, no matter how caring, often don’t see the full picture.
She wanted to make a difference for her son – and for every child who needs a safe space to be heard. That’s how Lumii.me was born: a simple, culturally sensitive platform where pupils can express themselves in real time, in their own language, and know that someone is listening.
Now, Lumii.me supports thousands of children and staff across the UAE, helping schools celebrate every emotion, spot early signs of distress or safeguarding needs, and build a culture where every voice matters.
