Why I love what I do………..and seeing incredible inclusion in practice

Graphic with the text What were the most useful parts of the presentation? Too many to mention. From start to finish the presentation was amazing. Louise is so engaging and it’s clear to see how passionate and knowledgeable she is. Louise had a special way of helping you understand how your child/ren maybe feeling and how to understand what their reaction or behaviour is really telling you. Would highly recommend her and hope I get to attend another presentation of hers again.

One of my greatest passions, is sharing the skills and experiences, gained from working with thousands of children with additional needs across all ages.

Last week, I was honoured to attend Arcadia School with John Paton.  I have watched the school grow and watched the amazing provision created and maintained by John, Natasha, and the rest of their team.  The ethos and culture within school is warm and welcoming and nothing is too much for any of their students.

Standing up in front of a group of passionate and experienced adults, who support children 1:1 in class and in small groups, will always be daunting. The richness of diversity and experiences (of both the adults and the students) makes ‘pitching’ training at the right level, and engagement of adults a challenge.  When a team engages with the content, has fun with the games, and fires great questions at me, I know I have got it right!

An essential part of my support, is in ensuring that feedback is received.  Participant voice is essential to keeping my delivery current.  Today, I was invited to return and we had the opportunity to review feedback.

I am entering my weekend very happy!  I hope your week was equally fulfilling.

Have a great weekend!
