The Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework (2017) and subsequent documentation places parents and students at the heart of provision for inclusion, in the education system.
It states that schools should:
- actively engage families, parents, caregivers and other relevant stakeholders, such as community and social workers and medical professionals, to share responsibility for the education of students who experience SEND
- encourage and support parent/family participation in the education process and ensure that they have every opportunity to contribute to student success
- ensure that parents of children who experience SEND, and where appropriate the children themselves, play a central part in the development of the IEP and related programme design
Parents find this daunting and are often left bewildered by the conversation and journey. These sessions will support parents to be actively engaged in their child’s learning and engage meaningfully and constructively with schools

A dedicated Special Educational Needs and Inclusion course, tailored to school staff who are working with students with additional needs. This includes Students of Determination, Gifted and Talented and those with English as an Additional Language in the United Arab Emirates. Inclusion is a whole school provision. This course looks at how to include all staff in the student experience, how to navigate the systems and ensure that children receive holistic quality provision to achieve their potential.

This includes Students of Determination, Gifted and Talented and those with English as an Additional Language in the United Arab Emirates. Inclusion is a whole school provision. This course looks at how to implement systems to screen, pre-identify and support students using intervention and ensuring quality Individual Education Plans, tracking and progress.

A dedicated Special Educational Needs and Inclusion course, tailored to school staff who are leading and managing the Inclusion work within school. Inclusion is a whole school provision. This course looks at understanding the journey that Dubai has been on and takes an in depth look at the documentation provided by KHDA to guide Inclusion within schools. We will also look at how to use that documentation to Audit the department, create a robust Strategic Action Plan and a clearly evidenced Self Evaluation.
