Introduction

In this introduction video Louise talks to Carrie-Ann Gibson and Patrick McGrath from Texthelp about two pieces of software – Read&Write and OrbitNote.

Read&Write is a literacy support tool that offers help for everyday tasks. With tools to meet the needs of different learners, right across the curriculum. Read&Write can help by reading text out loud, and can help learners understand unfamiliar words and proof their written work.

Read&Write provides a highly accessible toolbar that sits on your computer and interacts with all your software. It is used by students and adults across the world to read, write and express themselves independently.

What Louise Says About  Read&Write

Read&Write is a fantastic literacy support tool. I have been working with Texthelp for over 8 years and have used the software with a variety of students. The software can be used in isolation for individual learners, or across a whole school. The benefits experienced by young people with AND without identified barriers are numerous but most importantly the tool gives students independence and a sense of achievement. Take away the barriers to demonstrating knowledge and you’ll have a child who loves learning, and loves to show you.
