Topics: A dedicated Special Educational Needs and Inclusion course, tailored to school staff who are leading and managing the Inclusion work within school. Inclusion is a whole school provision. This course looks at understanding the journey that Dubai has been on and takes an in depth look at the documentation provided by KHDA to guide Inclusion within schools. We will also look at how to use that documentation to Audit the department, create a robust Strategic Action Plan and a clearly evidenced Self Evaluation.

Leading and Managing an Inclusion Department in the UAE – Part 1

Topics: This four-part course has been designed to support School Leaders, Heads of Inclusion and SENCos and Aspiring SENCos.  This course will provide you with a clear definition, history (both across the world and within the UAE) and the implications for education in the UAE. In the second session, we will look at all the different staff in school, their role in inclusion and how to develop your teams.  We will then look at the role of parents and their journey in parenting children with need, how to provide them with clear information and give them the support they need to support their children.  In the final session, we will look at the different categorisation of students in accordance with the KHDA, the documentation and how to use this to screen and support students with additional needs, gifted and talented and those with English as an Additional Language.  There will also be time to meet other SENCos and ask questions throughout.

Topics: This four-part course has been designed to support School Leaders, Heads of Inclusion and SENCos and Aspiring SENCos.

A dedicated Special Educational Needs and Inclusion course, tailored to school staff who are working with students with additional needs. This includes Students of Determination, Gifted and Talented and those with English as an Additional Language in the United Arab Emirates. Inclusion is a whole school provision. This course looks at how to implement systems to screen, pre-identify and support students using intervention and ensuring quality Individual Education Plans, tracking and progress.

There will also be time to meet other SENCos and ask questions throughout.
